"Every game is an opportunity to improve, and tonight's challenges remind me that both photography and baseball are about perseverance and finding joy in the journey."
Tonight, I attended a game between the Milwaukee Milkmen and the Lincoln Salt Dogs of the American Association. Despite the Milkmen being around for five years, this was my first time attending one of their games. The venue was impressive, offering a vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere that I highly recommend to anyone in the area.
However, my experience with the camera was quite frustrating. No matter what settings I adjusted, they seemed to be the opposite of what I needed and was a constant struggle to capture the moments I wanted. Despite my efforts, I ended up with only eight edited photos in Lightroom, none of which felt particularly compelling.
I realized that part of the charm of attending live sports events is the unpredictability and the learning experiences they bring. While my photography didn’t go as planned, the game itself was a joy to watch, and the Milkmen provided a fantastic experience. I plan to learn from this and continue improving, capturing the essence of the game in future outings.
