Pete Rose’s versatility on the field is one of the parts of his game I’ve always admired most. He wasn’t just a hitter or a fielder; he was whatever his team needed him to be. Over the course of his career, Rose played five different positions—first base, second base, third base, left field, and right field—and didn’t just fill in at those spots; he excelled at all of them. He’s the only player in history to make All-Star appearances at each of those five positions, and that speaks volumes about his adaptability and commitment to winning.
