This is the first video in what I hope becomes a long, imperfect, meaningful journey.
I’ve always loved the game of baseball, not just the players or the plays, but everything around it. The fans. The memories. The feeling of holding a glove that’s been broken in over years. Lately, I’ve been feeling the urge to reconnect with the game in a more physical way. So I decided to try something completely new: making baseball gloves from scratch.
It’s not polished. It’s me, figuring out how to talk to a camera, stumbling over my words, and trying to explain why I’m doing this.
Because it’s not just about gloves. It’s about honoring the craft, the history, and the quiet parts of baseball that have always mattered to me.
I’ll be documenting the whole process, the learning, the mistakes, and the little moments that make it all worth it. This is where I start
.

Until I jumped over to YouTube to watch the video, I didn't realize you had a YT channel with what look like some interesting baseball videos. I subscribed and will check them out later.
Can’t wait to see the process! Love that you’re branching out to gloves. For a lot of us here on Substack that write about our favorite sports, especially baseball, it does almost feel like an illness, or maybe an obsession. We write about it hoping it’s enough but it’s not. We want to be more part of the game. Some make gloves, some spend too much money to travel to the other side of the world to watch a few games and write some more. Keep at it, though! This first video was great!
