I really enjoyed this series, and it's among your best content for me. My relationship with baseball changed following the 1994 strike, and I never followed the game the same way after that. The ensuing steroid era (particularly the Home Run Farce of 1998) further soured me, and with few exceptions (mainly when the Phillies had success during 2008-11 and during the past few years) I haven't followed baseball closely. I'm more complicit when it comes to the NFL, which supplanted the MLB after that 1994 strike (they had been close before that). I miss the way that I felt about baseball growing up, but I was also viewing the game from a different perspective back then (more rose-colored glasses).
I've enjoyed the series quite a bit!
Thanks Wyrd!
Your work is always interesting to read and often provocative. I like that a lot!
