Some of you who’ve followed Baseball Buddha for a while know that I tend to drift into deeper waters—beyond baseball—into culture, media, business, and sometimes the mess of modern society. And while I’ve occasionally shared those reflections here, I’ve always felt a tension. This space was created to celebrate the spirit of the game, the beauty in the details, the philosophy in the bleachers. It’s not the place for everything rattling around in my head.
It’s a space for my thoughts—sometimes measured, sometimes conspiratorial, always my take. I write about news, business, culture, and sports, but with more edge and less filter. I explore ideas that don’t fit neatly inside the baseball diamond. It’s long-form, it’s personal, and it’s not chasing trends.
I’m not interested in reactionary hot takes or viral outrage. ranting is where I think things through, call things out, and occasionally wander into speculative territory—not to persuade, but to process. It’s where I can be a little more blunt, maybe even a little uncomfortable.
If that interests you, feel free to subscribe. Baseball Buddha will remain focused on the game, the craft, the stories. ranting is for everything else.
